The sound chamber
The sound chamber is in the phonetics lab, in Dey 103 (basement of Dey Hall).
To use the sound chamber, please follow these steps:
- Sign up online to reserve Dey 103
- Sign out the key to Dey 103
I. Sign up online to reserve Dey 103
- How to reserve the room (for current LING 520 students):
- If you are not a current LING 520 student, please email Jen Smith or Elliott Moreton for access to the sign-up calendar.
- Click on this link: The Linguistics Department Sound Chamber (will open in new window).
- Enter your ONYEN and password.
- A calendar page opens. Pick a date. Please enter the time to be reserved, your name, and 'LING 520' (if you are in the course).
- Please also note:
- If you schedule a time and then change your mind, please take it off the calendar.
- Please make sure the lab door is locked when you are finished.
II. Sign out the key to Dey 103
(Please let Jen Smith know if you have any problems signing out the key.)
- Key sign-out procedure:
- Linguistics graduate students have access to a phonetics lab key in Smith Bldg.
- Other students, please talk to Jen Smith or Elliott Moreton to arrange for access to a key.
- Linguistics graduate students have access to a phonetics lab key in Smith Bldg.
